For parents
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Sunburnt Santa is a family-friendly Christmas game: 24 short Aussie Christmas mini-games, one door a day, plus six bonus games. Here's what parents usually want to know.
Who it's for
- Anyone can play as a guest. Guest play needs no name, email or account, and nothing a guest does is linked to them.
- Signing in is for players 13 and over. Signing in is only needed to save scores to an account and appear on the leaderboards. Players under 13 can play everything as guests.
- Prizes can only be claimed by players 18 or older, or with a parent or guardian's written consent. See the Competition Rules.
What's in the game
- Cartoon characters, Aussie animals and Christmas humour. No violence: birds get dazed and fly off.
- No alcohol, gambling or loot boxes, and nothing to buy that changes how the game plays.
- No chat or messages between players. The only thing other players see is a signed-in player's @handle on the leaderboards, and handles are filtered and can be reported.
Ads and purchases
- The iPhone and Android apps show ads from Google AdMob between rounds, never during one. We ask for family-friendly (PG) ads and block categories such as alcohol, gambling and dating. The web game has no ads.
- Remove Ads (A$3.99, one-off) is the only purchase. It goes through Apple or Google, so their parental controls and purchase approvals (Ask to Buy, Family Link) apply.
- Details: Ads & data notice.
Data
- Guests: we keep a random id for the install, scores and how the game is played, to run and improve the game. No name or email.
- Signed-in players: also their email and @handle. We never sell personal information.
- If you think a child under 13 has signed in or given us personal information, email [privacy email, or the support email] and we'll delete it.
- Full details: Privacy Policy. To delete an account: Delete your account.
Screen time
Each game takes about a minute and a new door opens once a day, so it's built for a quick daily play rather than long sessions. The daily reminder is off unless you turn it on, and sends at most one notification a day.
