The Sunburnt Santa cast
Nan: opinions, a wagging finger and a secret champion
Cane chair, cardigan, opinions. Quietly the best bon bon puller in the family.

Nan has been to more Christmas lunches than anyone else at the table and has notes on every one of them. Lilac curls, red cat-eye glasses, pearls and a yellow cardigan: she sits in her cane chair, watches everything, and lets you know how you're going. A cheer for a good effort, a wagging finger when the pav starts to lean, and a look of pure horror when it all comes down.
Where you'll find her
Day 5, Stack the Pav. Nan sits at the end of the table while you build a pavlova (the meringue dessert every Aussie family argues over) layer by layer. Line a layer up perfectly and she cheers; slice too much off and she has an opinion; drop the lot and she's aghast.
Day 10, Bon Bon Snap. Nan is the first relative to grab the other end of the bon bon. Her pull is the gentlest of the four, which is exactly what she wants you to think. "Beginner's luck, love." "I loosened it for you." "My bridge club pulls harder." Hold your own against the family and the results screen says it all: "Nan is suspicious."
Day 22, Christmas Lunch Stack. Turkey, ham, prawns, potato, pudding, pav, cherry, mango cheek: you stack the lot on one plate while Nan supervises from the end of the table. "More ham, love?" "You'll never eat all that." "Your Pop would be proud." Every fifth item she's got something to say.
Santa Smash. Heads pop out of the burrows and you bop them with a squeaky hammer: elves, a cheeky possum, a golden reindeer, and Nan. Don't boop Nan. It costs 300 points and your combo, and she will not forget it.
She's also one of the cards in the two-player bonus game Snap!
The secret champion
Why is Nan so good at bon bons? The game has the answer on one of its joke cards: "Years of opening jars."
